Hi, I’m Jill
She / Her
I am a yoga therapist with The International Association of Yoga Therapy (IAYT) through Inner Peace Yoga Therapy*. My journey with yoga began 18 years ago and continues to offer me a path of healing, connection, growth, and transformation that has profoundly impacted my wellness, my relationships, and my nervous system!
Initially I was introduced to yoga as an “exercise class” at the local Y that I could engage in while I was pregnant with my first daughter. Yoga kept calling me back to the mat over the years-even with many injuries, chronic pain, and energy limiting conditions-and this led me to discover mediation during my 200hr YTT about a decade ago. Learning about meditation was so transformative for me and ignited a passion deep within. From there, the list of yoga discoveries and teachings continually evolved for me! I absolutely love that yoga and its ancient wisdom teachings, are a lifelong learning process that apply to our modern lives and that the most profoundly impactful moments of yoga for me happen off the mat.
Yoga has gently (and not so gently!) challenged me over and over again to learn how to show up for myself and my daughters in ways that I never thought I was capable of. I know it’s my True Wise Self leading my current self who is often full of fear, functional freeze, dread, and anxiety. Many times (especially in the past, “my personality” has super questioned this yoga path … but yoga always shows up for me. For the I Am self. I’ve learned to trust this Path even though I don’t know where it’s going. I am super curious to continue to watch it all unfold!
I do not have answers, much less the answers to all of life’s biggest questions as we navigate difficulties, rather, living the questions and holding space for the questions, is at the core of who I am.
I am a guide who empowers others to lead themselves back into their wholeness. I deeply honor this therapeutic relationship as a way to heal within community and within the container of a safe and brave relationship.
During my 1:1 sessions with clients and within group offerings, I specialize in teaching the grounding and awareness practices along with nervous system regulation techniques that profoundly impacted my journey towards wholeness. I offer sessions that are neuroinclusive, trauma-informed, and gender affirming for all folks.
I live in Central Wisconsin with my three daughters, a four legged hiking snuggle buddy, am also a speech therapist, an advocate for caregivers of all types, and love to support other women during big life transitions.
