Yoga therapy is specifically designed to help with particular physical, mental, or emotional conditions. A yoga therapist will assess your health history and current concerns to create a tailored plan to address your wellness goals that may include yoga postures, gentle movement, meditation, mantras, breathing exercises, and lifestyle advice. The sessions are highly individualized and adjusted as you progress.
On the other hand, private yoga sessions are more about improving your overall yoga practice and personal well-being. The focus is on mastering yoga techniques, increasing flexibility and strength, or enhancing relaxation, rather than addressing specific health concerns.
-
All of our sessions will be held virtually online. You get to participate from the comfort of your own space! All you need is access to internet, your computer, and a yoga mat sized space or comfortable seated location in your space.
-
The first session is a 90 minute assessment session. All subsequent sessions are 60 minutes. Book a free Connection Call to discuss what sessions might look like to help address your unique challenges and wellness goals along with a sense for how our work together within a therapeutic relationship may unfold.

Yoga therapy sessions are individualized to help empower you to embody your wellness goals and help you find the yoga tools and routines that work the best for you in this season of life. They may include asana (movements), pranayama (breath-work), meditation, mantra(sacred sounds), mindfulness, bhavana (vizualization), sankalpa (affirmations), relaxation techniques such as body scans, progressive muscle relaxation, or yoga nidra (guided rest), yogic lifestyle, yoga philosophy, and other practices in the yoga tradition. Yoga therapy sessions honor the therapeutic relationship and care receiver is a integral part of the treatment plan process. One of the main goals for the treatment plan is to find simple yet profoundly powerful yoga tools that you can use in your everyday life!
-
The initial 90 minute assessment session is 175$. Packages of 3 or 5 sessions (375$, 600$) are available and include the initial assessment session plus follow up treatment sessions over the course of 1-6 months. Single follow up 60 minute sessions are available for existing clients for 125$.

I have 800 hours of yoga therapy training through Inner Peace Yoga Therapy in Durango, CO and am finishing up the certification process through the International Association of Yoga Therapy (IAYT) fall of 2024. The over 800 hours included Advanced Assessment Techniques and Treatment Planning, Trauma Informed Yoga Therapy, Yoga of Recovery, and professional mentorship practicums in Yoga Therapy for Grief, the Subtle Body, Pranayamas, Mudras, and Bandhas, Yoga of Stress Resilience, and a year long Meditation teacher training. Inner Peace's training has a diverse group of teachers from a variety of lineages and backgrounds who all provided an incredibly rich and comprehensive learning experience along the path to becoming a skilled yoga therapist.
My initial 200 hour YTT was through Inner Light Yoga Studio in Wauwatosa, WI.
